Ever since I was a kid, I’ve just always had a camera in my hand. I’m always wary to call myself a “photographer.” idk, whenever someone else tells me they’re a photographer I kinda cringe a little bit. I like the term storyteller more, but that also feels a bit pretentious so let’s just go with film photographer. I like creating images that have a feeling behind them that you just can’t quite explain. I like to capture moments candidly, trying not to disrupt the scene too much. I’m not really inspired by digital photography, I spent my time growing up mastering the digital camera until I felt like it got too easy. Every time I would see a photo on film it was instantly cooler than a photo from a digital camera, simply because it was film. It feels more like an artistic process than digital does, requires more intention and care. It’s also a physical media, I store all my negatives in a binder, physical proof that I can touch of the images that I make. It also serves as an archive, something that I can leave behind on this earth. This is more than a hobby to me, this is my art. That said, let’s work. You’ve seen my work, you know it’s good.
